For most students in Indonesia, the end of the month is the most dreaded time. How come? that day was a day when we experienced a very crisis and sad situation. At the end of the month, sometimes we are no longer able to do the activities we usually do at the beginning of the month. Fun activities that are usually carried out by a student on Sundays such as going to the beach, hiking, staycations, and many more, will feel very empty if that Sunday is at the end of the month.

What are the month-end fears for students? The end of the month this time is quite different from the end of the month that is seen by other people, the end of the month for a student is a feeling of fear, anxiety, and sadness that surrounds a person on Saturdays and even Sundays. It is also known as "Death Month" which is recognized by most students in Indonesia. This worry occurs as a reaction to a situation that has not yet happened and feels hopeless when it occurs. In a survey by close friends, it was found that 80% of students in Indonesia experienced it. There are three reasons why people feel this condition even on holidays. First, instead of enjoying vacation time by buying necessities such as clothes, pants, and shoes, these people have to pay electricity bills. Second, having the intention to spend their holiday time eating as much as they want, these people must go back to eating sparingly for the sake of survival. The third is regretting how to spend money that is valid for a full month but only lasts half a month. For some people, this condition can result in sleepless nights because they are haunted by the anxiety itself. This is because our feelings of fear can be at an extreme level, even to the point of crying, worrying, and feeling anxious when we find out that we wake up on a sunny morning but are at the end of the month.

How to deal with "Anxiety at the end of the month". However, don't worry because this condition can be overcome. Quoting from classmates, here are some ways you can do to overcome it.

1. Must be able to manage finances properly and correctly. As students, we must realize that we don't have much finances, so try not to do something that is not important to you. You don't need to go on vacation if you are still in college schedule, by doing it that way, your expenses will also be less.

2. Go shopping sparingly. You can buy what you want, but remember if the items you need can still be used, try to use these items sparingly and appropriately.

3. Apply mindfulness techniques. The anxiety at the end of the month usually comes from a mind filled with negative thoughts. One way that can be done to reduce these thoughts is mindfulness. As a student, we must be able to think critically and economically in maintaining survival. You can start to think clearly about what is important to do and what is not important not to do
